Commentary
'In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful'
Tafsir of Surah Saba
It is Meccan, and there is a difference of opinion regarding His saying, the Exalted: ﴿And those who have been given knowledge will see﴾ [Saba: 6]. One group said: it is Meccan, and the intended meaning is the believers in the Prophet, blessings and peace be upon him. Another group said: it is Medinan, and the intended meaning is those who embraced Islam in Medina from the people of the Book, like Ibn Salam and others like him.
His saying, the Exalted:
﴿All praise is due to Allah, to Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth, and to Him belongs praise in the Hereafter, and He is the All-Wise, the All-Aware﴾ ﴿He knows what enters the earth and what comes out of it, and what descends from the heaven and what ascends in it, and He is the Most Merciful, the Most Forgiving﴾.
The definite article in ﴿
