قَالَ إِنَّ فِيهَا لُوطٗاۚ قَالُواْ نَحۡنُ أَعۡلَمُ بِمَن فِيهَاۖ لَنُنَجِّيَنَّهُۥ وَأَهۡلَهُۥٓ إِلَّا ٱمۡرَأَتَهُۥ كَانَتۡ مِنَ ٱلۡغَٰبِرِينَ ٣٢ ﴿32 وَلَمَّآ أَن جَآءَتۡ رُسُلُنَا لُوطٗا سِيٓءَ بِهِمۡ وَضَاقَ بِهِمۡ ذَرۡعٗاۖ وَقَالُواْ لَا تَخَفۡ وَلَا تَحۡزَنۡ إِنَّا مُنَجُّوكَ وَأَهۡلَكَ إِلَّا ٱمۡرَأَتَكَ كَانَتۡ مِنَ ٱلۡغَٰبِرِينَ ٣٣ ﴿33 إِنَّا مُنزِلُونَ عَلَىٰٓ أَهۡلِ هَٰذِهِ ٱلۡقَرۡيَةِ رِجۡزٗا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَفۡسُقُونَ ٣٤ ﴿34 وَلَقَد تَّرَكۡنَا مِنۡهَآ ءَايَةَۢ بَيِّنَةٗ لِّقَوۡمٖ يَعۡقِلُونَ ٣٥ ﴿35
32He said, “There is LūT in it.” They said, “We know well who is in it. We will certainly save him and his family except his wife who will be among those remaining behind.” 33And when Our messengers came to LūT, he grieved for them and his heart was straitened because of them, but they said, “We are going to save you and your family, except your wife who will be among those remaining behind. 34We are going to bring down on the people of this town a punishment from the sky, because they used to act sinfully.” 35And We left from it (the town) an evident sign for a people who understand.

His saying, glorified and exalted is He: "He said, 'Indeed, there is Lot in it.' They said, 'We know better who is in it. We will surely save him and his family, except for his wife; she is of those who remain behind.'" "And when our messengers came to Lot, he was distressed by them and felt himself straitened.
