كَذَّبَ أَصۡحَٰبُ لۡـَٔيۡكَةِ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ ١٧٦ ﴿176 إِذۡ قَالَ لَهُمۡ شُعَيۡبٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ ١٧٧ ﴿177 إِنِّي لَكُمۡ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٞ ١٧٨ ﴿178 فَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ ١٧٩ ﴿179 وَمَآ أَسۡـَٔلُكُمۡ عَلَيۡهِ مِنۡ أَجۡرٍۖ إِنۡ أَجۡرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ ١٨٠ ﴿180 ۞ أَوۡفُواْ ٱلۡكَيۡلَ وَلَا تَكُونُواْ مِنَ ٱلۡمُخۡسِرِينَ ١٨١ ﴿181 وَزِنُواْ بِٱلۡقِسۡطَاسِ ٱلۡمُسۡتَقِيمِ ١٨٢ ﴿182 وَلَا تَبۡخَسُواْ ٱلنَّاسَ أَشۡيَآءَهُمۡ وَلَا تَعۡثَوۡاْ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ مُفۡسِدِينَ ١٨٣ ﴿183 وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَكُمۡ وَٱلۡجِبِلَّةَ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ ١٨٤ ﴿184 قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُسَحَّرِينَ ١٨٥ ﴿185 وَمَآ أَنتَ إِلَّا بَشَرٞ مِّثۡلُنَا وَإِن نَّظُنُّكَ لَمِنَ ٱلۡكَٰذِبِينَ ١٨٦ ﴿186 فَأَسۡقِطۡ عَلَيۡنَا كِسَفٗا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ ١٨٧ ﴿187 قَالَ رَبِّيٓ أَعۡلَمُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ ١٨٨ ﴿188 فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَخَذَهُمۡ عَذَابُ يَوۡمِ ٱلظُّلَّةِۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ عَذَابَ يَوۡمٍ عَظِيمٍ ١٨٩ ﴿189 إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَةٗۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكۡثَرُهُم مُّؤۡمِنِينَ ١٩٠ ﴿190 وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ ١٩١ ﴿191
176The people of Aaikah rejected the messengers 177when Shu‘aib said to them, “Do you not fear Allah? 178I am an honest messenger for you. 179So fear Allah and obey me. 180And I do not claim from you any reward for it; my reward is with none but with the Lord of the worlds. 181Give full measure, and do not be among those who bring loss to others. 182Weigh with an even balance, 183and do not make people short of their things, and do not spread disorder in the land as mischief-makers, 184and be fearful of the One who created you and the former generations.” 185They said, “You are but one of the bewitched men. 186You are no more than a human like us, and in fact we consider you to be one of the liars. 187So cause a piece from the sky to fall down upon us, if you are one of the truthful.” 188He said, “My Lord knows well what you do.” 189Thus they rejected him, so they were seized by the torment of the Day of Canopy.
