His saying, exalted and glorified is He:

﴿And Isma'il and Idris and Dhul-Kifl; all were of the patient.﴾ ﴿And We admitted them into Our mercy. Indeed, they were among the righteous.﴾

The meaning: And mention Isma'il, who is Isma'il ibn Ibrahim, the Friend, peace be upon them. He is the father of the Arabs known today in the saying of some of them. And Idris is Khunukh, and he is the first prophet sent by Allah from the children of Adam. It has been narrated that he was a tailor who glorified Allah when inserting the needle and praised Him when pulling it out. And Dhul-Kifl was a prophet, and it has been narrated that he was sent to one man. It is said that he was not a prophet, but he was a righteous servant. It has been narrated that 'Alyasa' gathered the children of Israel and said: Who will take care of me with fasting during the day and standing in prayer at night and not becoming angry, and I will appoint him to oversee the servants after me? A young man stood up and said: I will do that for you. He repeated it three times, saying: I will do that for you. He appointed him, and when 'Alyasa' died, he took charge. Then Iblis came to anger him - and he would only sleep during the midday nap - so Iblis would come to him during the midday nap for days, waking him and complaining of his darkness and intending to constrict his chest. But he did not feel constricted by him. He went with him to seek justice for himself, and when Iblis saw that, he despaired of him, and Allah sufficed him from his evil. He was named 'Dhul-Kifl' because he took charge of a matter and fulfilled it. The remainder of the verse is clear.
