63He said, “O my people, tell me: If I have a clear proof from my Lord, and He has bestowed mercy upon me from Himself, who will come to my help against Allah, if I still disobey Him? So, you extend nothing to me but loss. 64And O my people, this is the she-camel of Allah, a sign for you. So, leave her free to eat on the earth of Allah, and do not even touch her with evil (intention), lest an approaching punishment should seize you.” 65Then they slaughtered her. So, he said, “Enjoy yourselves in your homes for three days (only). That is a promise, not to be backed out.”

﴿He said: O my people! Have you considered, if I am on a clear proof from my Lord and He has granted me from Himself a mercy, then who will support me against Allah if I disobey Him? So you will not increase me except in loss﴾ ﴿And O my people! This is the she-camel of Allah for you as a sign. So let her graze in the land of Allah and do not touch her with harm, lest a near punishment should seize you﴾ ﴿So they hamstrung her. He said: Enjoy yourselves in your abode for three days; that is a promise not to be belied﴾

They intermarried, and a child named Qudar was born between the two spouses, with the mentioned description. The authorities intended to kill him, but his grandfathers prevented him until he grew up. The one who killed her was with a sword in her shanks, and it was said: with an arrow in her udder, and her calf fled from that. He climbed a mountain called Al-Qarrah, and he cried three times. Salih said: "This is the appointment of three days for punishment." And he commanded them before the crying of the calf to seek him, hoping that they would reach him and the punishment would be averted from them by him. They attempted to ascend to him on the mountain, and the mountain rose in the sky until the birds could not reach it. At that time, the calf cried.
