Commentary
And when this matter was beyond the limit in tyranny, and the question was only about seeing his condition in forbidding the servant from prayer, not about seeing his essence, the listener longed to know that [condition]. He repeated the statement with an increase in astonishment at his condition and a warning. He said, repeating the worker with an increase in emphasis and clarifying that this is in reality the first question about the condition: ﴿Have you seen﴾ meaning inform me about his condition ﴿if he is﴾ meaning this forbidding one, and he expressed it with a tool of elevation indicating that he is in the utmost stability and strength. He said: ﴿on guidance﴾ meaning the complete (p-165) in guidance, so he refrained from forbidding this worshiper from serving his Lord, who acknowledges His sovereignty, even if he falsely claims that he has a partner, just as he does not forbid prostration to idols.
