Commentary
And when the dependents prevent from dedicating oneself to knowledge or otherwise, He said: "And He found you" meaning while you were in a state of "being a dependent" meaning having dependents, unable to expand for them or poor. Ibn al-Qatta' said: A man is 'aal when he is in need, and he 'aala when his dependents increase.
"So He enriched" with what has been made for you from the profit of trade, then from the earnings of the spoils. It has been understood that people are of four categories: some of them find both religion and the world, some of them lack both, some find religion but not the world, and some find the world but not religion.
