And when the one who purifies mentioned his fruit, the one who conceals followed him with his wretchedness and said: ﴿And as for the one who is stingy﴾, meaning he has brought forth this vile reality and has prevented what he was commanded to give and was urged towards. ﴿And is self-sufficient﴾, meaning he sought wealth from the people and from what he promised of reward, and he brought it forth by what his wretched soul claimed for him and his false assumptions. So he did not do good to the people nor did he work for the Hereafter.
