Commentary
And when it was said that sometimes the obstinate ignorant one, who does not understand the greatness that belongs to Him, glorified and exalted is He, which no one can object to, says: why is it that everything is not made easy for the good? He began his response, clarifying who has imposed upon himself the benefits as a favor from Him due to His kindness and generosity, and what He does without considering that which is due to Him from might and pride. He said, affirming and emphasizing that He loves knowledge, stating that no one has any right over Him at all: "Indeed, upon Us" meaning, upon what belongs to Us of greatness, "is guidance" meaning the clarification of the true path and the establishment of clear evidence for that.
