‘So freeing’ means freeing a person ‘from bondage’ which is either from captivity, or oppression, or debt, or illness. This is in gratitude to the One who has bestowed goodness upon him. It is also for the relief of distress, out of love for high virtues and noble qualities, not for show or reputation, as this misguided deluded one has done. Nor is it for the hope of reward, nor for fear of hardship.
