Then he turned to his saying: ﴿And not upon those who﴾ and he affirmed the meaning with his saying: ﴿They did not come to you﴾ meaning: and they did not come without intending you, desiring to strive with you ﴿to carry them﴾ while they do not find a means of transport ﴿You said﴾ meaning: they came to you saying or at the time of your saying, 'and indeed' is implied as they said in ﴿Their chests are constrained﴾ [An-Nisa: 90] ﴿I do not find what﴾ meaning: anything ﴿to carry you upon﴾ (p-574) and he answered: ﴿If﴾ with his saying: and it is permissible that it be an initiation and 'You said' is the answer ﴿They turned away﴾ meaning: from hearing this saying from you ﴿and their eyes overflow﴾ meaning: they fill and then flow, and attributing the overflow to them is more eloquent in that it has been made all tears, then he clarified the overflow with his saying: ﴿with tears﴾ meaning: tears. The original is: her tears overflow, then he explained her overflow with his saying: ﴿out of sadness﴾ then he explained their sadness with his saying: ﴿that they do not find﴾ meaning: for their not finding ﴿what to spend﴾ so their sadness is truly over missing your companionship and being in your party, and this is the story of the weepers which he made clear even though they are included in ﴿those who do not find﴾ [At-Tawbah: 91] to show their honor and to affirm that the sincere advisor - even if he strives - cannot do without pardon, as he clarified that they - with their striving to obtain the means and their regret at missing them with what their eyes overflowed - are among those who have no way against them or among those who have no hardship upon them, the forgiven.
