Commentary
And when healing is not intended for perfection, He follows it with the affirmation of its perfection by His saying: ﴿and He removes the anger of their hearts﴾. This means: He establishes in them from the pleasure against what they have encountered from the disliked, and He removes from them the pain caused by those who intend, glorified and exalted is He, harm from their enemies and the humiliation of the remaining ones which had afflicted them. And indeed, He fulfilled what He promised, so the verse is among the apparent signs.
And when the estimation is: fight them, for if you fight them, it will be like this, glorified and exalted is He, added to the essence of this sentence His saying: ﴿and Allah will accept the repentance﴾. This means: the King who has the attributes of perfection ﴿from whom He wills﴾, meaning: from them, they will become brothers to you or allies. The meaning is: fighting them will be the cause of these five things. As for repentance, sometimes it is caused by it and sometimes by another. And due to the possibility of its causation by it, it was read exceptionally in the accusative, indicating that the conjunction is for diversion. And when what this truthful promise contains revolves around ability and knowledge, and knowledge necessitates ability, the estimation is: then Allah is capable of all things. He added to it His saying: ﴿and Allah﴾, meaning: the One who encompasses all things in knowledge and ability ﴿is Knowing﴾, meaning: of all things and of who is suitable for repentance and who is not, and what is in your hearts of determination and hesitation, if it were to manifest outwardly, how would it be ﴿Wise﴾, meaning: He has judged all of His affairs wisely, and He did not attach the legal rulings of your actions to anything except what knowledge is related to in the case of its manifestation.
