Commentary
'And enter My Paradise.' [This means] it is the Garden of Eden, which is the highest of the gardens. Al-Baghawi said: Said ibn Jubair said: Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, died in Ta'if. His funeral was witnessed, and a bird came that we did not see in the form of its creation. It entered his coffin, and we did not see it come out of it. When he was buried, this verse was recited at the edge of the grave, and we did not know who recited it. This last part is the beginning of what is apparent of the one who swears by the dawn regarding the certain resurrection, which without it, the creation of creation would be from the blameworthy futility, which is free from it, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer. So glorified is the Greatest King, whose words are this. Its meanings are elevated above any criticism, and its signs are exalted. Its composition and arrangement have dazzled in the peak of the miraculousness, 'And where is the Pleiades from the hand of the one who reaches?'
