And when He, glorified and exalted is He, mentioned that the custom of these factions was tyranny, and mentioned that the custom of the Lord, glorified and exalted is He, regarding those who turn away and disbelieve is that He punishes them, as He threatened with the last of those, and indicated that by what has been observed in the nations. He attributed that to the fact that He does not overlook. The mention of the custom of man, as he is, is without restriction to these factions regarding the trial in the states of ease and hardship. He said, indicating the response to what the disbelievers used to say, that they are more favored with Allah than the Muslims, does not assist them in this world, and the companions, may Allah be pleased with them, diminish from the world, causing what has passed to be an inclination towards what you determine: this was the custom of these nations and the custom of Allah regarding them: 'As for man,' meaning the one who has been entrusted with the stone to comprehend these categories and what is intended from him regarding the belief of the one who swears by them, and he is created to forget and to be familiar with himself and to love it and to be pleased with it.

And when the aim was to introduce his state at the beginning, he presented the circumstance indicating that before the news, saying: 'When,' and he confirmed the matter with the negation, saying: 'He has not tested him,' meaning He dealt with him as the one who is tested by mixing with him in a way that inclines and changes him. 'His Lord,' meaning the one who created him and was good to him by preserving his existence so that his gratitude or disbelief may appear. 'So He honored him,' meaning by making him esteemed among the people and giving him what they honor him with of status and wealth. 'And He made him enjoy,' meaning by making him delighted and indulged with what He has given him, without being tired because of it. 'So he says,' rejoicing in that and boasting: 'My Lord,' meaning the one who brought me into existence and manages my affairs, 'has honored me,' meaning he assumes that this is due to deserving, so he becomes arrogant with it.
