Commentary

And when the reckoning is delayed from all of that, and is great in quantity and quality, He magnified it with the tool of delay and said: [Then indeed,] He confirmed it for their denial, and brought forth a tool indicating that it is as necessary as it must be, saying: [It is upon Us] specifically regarding what we have of ability and being free from any deficiency, frivolity, injustice, and all shortcomings, not regarding others, because others do not have the ability. We have preceded in it with truthful promises, and we have confirmed them to the utmost degree. [Their reckoning] means the Day of Resurrection, regarding the smallest and the tiniest, and other than that from every small and great matter. That will be on the overwhelming Day when people will be divided into two groups: in a house of humiliation, and a house of safety. The end of one will embrace the beginning of the other, and its extremities will intertwine with its connections - and Allah is the guide to what is correct, and to Him is the return.
