Commentary
And when the signs of monotheism were sometimes in the self and sometimes in the horizons, and He alerted by the signs of the self, there remained only the signs of the horizons. And the plants are among its signs. He said: "And He who brought forth" meaning He caused the bringing forth of "the pasture" by what He sent down from the rain-bearing clouds, so He caused to grow what the animals graze from the plants and others, beginning and returning. This indicated the completeness of His power, especially regarding resurrection, because He, glorified and exalted is He, is more capable of gathering the dead from the earth by Himself after they have disintegrated into water, to gather them for the plants that had disintegrated in the earth and became [dust and] bringing them forth as it was last year by His permission, glorified and exalted is He, and it is a creation from His creations.
