Commentary
And when this result - which is the success through purification and what follows it - is exclusive to the revealed books by which the management of the first existence is established, it is described as an encouragement for it by the description of the gathering of the ancient, which necessitates correctness through the flow of thoughts across the succession of eras. For what has passed through the years and has been accepted by the ages, the soul becomes more inclined to submission to it and more compelled to adhere to it. It has also been established with antiquity that what has been revealed to him, blessings and peace be upon him, is not an anomaly among the messengers, may prayers and peace be upon them, but rather it is in accordance with their methodology. Thus, no fair-minded person can reject his message among them, especially since he has surpassed them in miracles and other miracles by his saying, confirming for the sake of those who lie: "Indeed, this" meaning the great admonition with the glorification that has been mentioned in these surahs and what has been affected by it from the purification with the mention that necessitates prayer and turning away from the worldly life and turning towards the Hereafter. For it encompasses all good, and it is established in every legislation because it is the intended purpose of the ruling, so it does not accept abrogation. "Indeed, in the earlier scriptures". So whoever follows this Quran, which is in these divine scriptures, has adorned himself with the beauty of the tongue by what he conveys from the expression that is in the utmost clarity and greatness, and what he knows of the unseen matters that may be or have been, and which the people of these times have forgotten. Thus, he has been relieved from the misguidance of poets and soothsayers, who fall into sin and transgression. For the Quran is a gathering of supreme praise and delicate lineage in describing the houris, the nectar, the glorious pride, and the eloquent invective against the enemies of Allah, and the attractive encouragement for hearts, and the intimidation, and the informative salt, and the legal limits - among other matters that poets cannot reach, nor can the eloquent reach its lowest rank.
