Commentary
And when he indicated by the question that this matter is very important, it is necessary for everyone to leave all their responsibilities and devote themselves to contemplating it, for it will earn them eternal and everlasting happiness. And man, despite being weak and incapable, does not cease to be preoccupied and distracted. Hardly can he have a correct contemplation. So, He, glorified and exalted is He, took it upon Himself to explain that, and He answered the question by saying: ﴿Created﴾ meaning that man was created in the easiest and simplest way after the creation of his father Adam, blessings and peace be upon him, from dust, and his mother Hawwa, peace be upon her, from his rib. ﴿From a gushing fluid﴾ meaning that it is - due to the strength of the nature's flow for him - as if it gushes forth by itself, so it is a metaphorical attribution. And the flow is for its owner, or it is a metaphor for 'the son' meaning one who has a flow, and the flow is a pouring in which there is a pushing. And He did not say: two waters - indicating that they come together in the womb and mix together in the strongest mixing until they become one water.
