And when this great action cannot be from a rational person except for a reason that befits him, he clarified that it is indeed for a reason that distances him. So he said in a manner:

'And there is no fault in them except that their swords are with them remnants from the clash of the battalions.'

'And they did not blame' means they denied and disliked 'from them' of the conditions, and it was a religion for them and a deficiency in them 'except that they believe' means they renew their faith, continuing upon it 'in Allah' meaning the Most High King who possesses all attributes of perfection.

And when it may have been misleading to leave His treatment, glorified and exalted is He, for them due to their torturing those who believed in Him for the sake of believing in Him what is not befitting, He negated that by saying, describing Him with what affirms the obligation of worshiping Him and His uniqueness in it: 'the Almighty' meaning the One who overcomes whoever He wills and nothing overcomes Him. So it should not be thought that His possibility is from the people of His guardianship due to inability, rather He tests them to magnify their rewards and to magnify the punishment of their enemies and to magnify the retribution from them. 'The Praiseworthy' meaning the One who encompasses all attributes of perfection, for He rewards whoever is afflicted in Him with the greatest reward and takes vengeance on whoever harmed Him with the severest punishment. And He established that with His saying:
