Commentary
And when this phrase of the oath indicates resurrection, He states explicitly: "And the Day of the Promised". This means the Day of Resurrection, which the promise has been fulfilled regarding it and has been established with certainty that cannot be avoided, due to what it indicates of Our power in Our creations. And We have caused for it causes that are ready with you, while you do not see them and do not perceive anything of them. And the messengers did not clarify them for you due to the limitations of your minds regarding them, beyond the indication by the causes that you are accustomed to, on a par with them without distinction. However, even if the intellect does not independently comprehend it nor understand anything of it other than the heavens regarding the promise of it from the messengers, it does not reject it after hearing it.
