And when this force can only be attributed to the Complete Ability, it indicates the perfection of His Ability and His exclusivity in that by His saying, confirming what they have of denial: ﴿Indeed, He﴾. And He increased the emphasis with another subject to indicate exclusivity, so He said: ﴿He﴾, meaning solely ﴿originates﴾, meaning He brings into existence any creation He wills in any form He wills, ﴿and returns﴾, meaning that created being after its annihilation at any time He wills. And no one else is capable of anything of that. And this pronoun is not a separation because it can only be with knowledge, or something similar to it in that it cannot be followed by the definite article “Al” like “better than you.” And Al-Mazini permitted its occurrence before the present tense due to its similarity to the noun and the impossibility of the definite article “Al” entering upon it. So it resembled the definite. And he said: And it cannot be before the past tense because the past does not resemble the noun. Al-Radhi said: And what he said is a claim without evidence, like “And the plotting of those is doomed.” It is not a text in its being a separation for the permissibility of its being a subject with what follows it as its news. And he refuted his saying regarding the past with His saying, the Exalted: ﴿And that He is the One who causes laughter and causes crying﴾ [An-Najm: 43] the verse.
