And when He mentioned the punishment of the obstinate, beginning with it because of the position it holds, He followed it with the reward of the worshippers. He said, affirming what is for their enemies from denying that: "Indeed, those who have believed"; meaning they acknowledged faith, even if it is in the slightest forms of those thrown into the Fire and others from every group in every time. "And they did righteous deeds"; as a confirmation of their faith and a realization of it. And when Allah, glorified and exalted is He, by His mercy has encompassed His allies with His care and did not leave them to their deeds, He did not make them the cause of their happiness. So He did not connect His saying: "For them" with a conjunction, meaning the reward for their endurance of the fires of this world from the physical fire of the trench that was mentioned, and from the fires of worries and sorrows that the direct cause of which is other than Him, glorified and exalted is He. Thus, the one who endures it while preserving his religion is like one holding onto a burning coal. "Gardens"; meaning a favor from Him. "Flowing"; and He made its attainment close by saying: "from beneath it"; meaning beneath its chambers and its families and all its places. "The rivers"; they enjoy its coolness in comparison to the heat they endured in this world, and they find pleasure in looking at it along with the greenery of the gardens and the beautiful faces that bring joy and remove sorrows.

And when He mentioned this which delights the souls and removes misery, He emphasized it by saying: "That"; meaning the matter of high rank, great blessing. "The great success"; meaning the attainment of all desires, nothing else. "The great"; in greatness, you do not understand more than what has been mentioned in this description in general. This is because whoever magnifies Him knows that this entire existence is smaller than the smallest thing of Him.
