Commentary

And when He, glorified and exalted is He, clarified the ultimate clarity of the evidence for His ability to bring back by beginning anew, and He, the Most High, indicated that what has made man suffer loss by forgetting this evidence that points to that abode is nothing but deception. Deception is applied to the least meaning. He clarified that it has elevated him to the pinnacle and said: "No!" meaning what has caused you, O people, to turn away from He who must be approached and to make the utmost ugliness of turning away from Him, is nothing but pure deception. "Rather," it is greater than that, which is that you "disbelieve" meaning in a manner of renewal by the establishment of decisive evidence and the standing of clear proofs "in the religion," meaning the recompense that Allah has ordained on the Day of Resurrection. So turn away from deception completely, both specifically and generally, and retreat to the utmost retreat.
