And when this necessitated the overwhelming of the graves, it was suggested that their inhabitants do not rise, as the Arabs used to believe that whoever dies has perished. He said, countering this in a manner akin to the speech of the capable, indicating the ease of that for Him: "And when the graves are turned upside down," meaning despite all of that, "they will be dug up"; that is, their soil will be unearthed in the easiest manner, and their inhabitants will rise as they were, and they will see how horrifying it is and it will terrify them.
