Commentary
And when the one who is firmly established in himself may not have helpers, he said: "Obedient there" meaning in the highest assembly, they upon whom be peace are the most obedient to him. Al-Hasan said: Allah has made obedience to Gabriel, blessings and peace be upon him, obligatory upon the inhabitants of the heavens, just as He has made obedience to Muhammad, blessings and peace be upon him, obligatory upon the inhabitants of the earth. And when this necessitates trustworthiness, he made it clear by saying: "Trustworthy" meaning one who is profound in trust, so he is one who affirms the saying, the command is accepted, and he is trusted in the matter of the message and the imparting of knowledge to the hearts. He is spiritual, pure in essence, action, and state. And whoever possesses these great attributes is in a position where he does not come except in a matter that is very important, for kings do not send their special ones except in such matters. Therefore, Allah, the Exalted, entrusted him with His message.
