And when he mentioned his fleeing, which his resolution prevented him from, he explained it by saying: "For every person," meaning even if he is the most honorable of people in character, "on that day," meaning when these great calamities and hardships and pains will be, "is a matter significant and great." "Suffices him," meaning it is enough for him - in concern, such that he does not leave for himself a share that he can direct to others, and it necessitates for him adherence to the meaning, which is the dwelling that pleases him, while he knows that they will follow him and fears that they will demand from him what they are in distress for, due to what he may have fallen short in regarding their rights.
