And when the mother is a partner to him in affection, and her protection requires more than what is required of the brother, for he is more affectionate towards her, more tender, and more compassionate, he said: "and his mother." And when the father is greater than her in affection because he is closer in kind, and the child has more attachment to him due to the greater benefit he provides, more than the one before him, he said: "and his father."
