Commentary
And when he gathered what can be eaten and what can be enjoyed, it indicated clearly the completeness of ability. He mentioned the blessing in it, addressing individuals generally after the context of the reprimand to state that all are incapable of fulfilling gratitude. So how if disbelief is added to it? He said: ﴿a provision﴾, and it is in the accusative case as an adverbial phrase. And when he mentioned what people eat and what is fed to the animals, and the context here is for human food, he said, presenting their pronoun: ﴿for you and for your cattle﴾, unlike what was in As-Sajda which has passed. The cattle are what completes the goodness for humans due to the blessings they have in it, such as riding, eating, drinking, clothing, beauty, and other benefits. He mentioned this in a clear reference to the minerals, for some of which what has passed cannot be completed except by them. They are the tools for planting, harvesting, cooking, kneading, and others. The angels are those who manage what Allah has directed them to in that. This indicates that all existence was created for the sake of human benefits so that he may give thanks, not to disbelieve. And the ability indicated that certainly regarding the ability to resurrect.
