Commentary
And when they punished them with words and actions, they justified that to them by saying, as an increase in their lamentation: "That" means: this great act that He does to you of painful punishment,
﴿because of what your hands have sent forth﴾ means: from the audacity against Allah,
﴿and that﴾ means: and because He has the right to do that even if you have not sent forth anything, for indeed, "Allah" means: the One who has the attributes of perfection ﴿is not unjust﴾ means: He is not one who commits injustice,
﴿to the servants﴾ for indeed, His ownership over them is complete, and the complete owner of what he possesses is the king who nothing escapes from his domain of ownership. He is the One who created you with this wicked nature from which these ugly actions have resulted, and He is not to be questioned about what He does; who is it that can question Him! And it may be that the meaning is: and He is not unjust; because He does not allow the oppressor to transgress against the oppressed without recompense for you for your injustice to the people of His obedience. [And the wisdom of the expression in "Fussilat" will come, expressed in a form that allows for exaggeration].
