And when He concluded the verse with what is the utmost in His advice to them, the Most High, regarding shelter, victory, and good provision, indicating gratitude for the favor of the Benefactor, He concluded that with an encouragement to be grateful. He forbade us from neglecting gratitude in that by betraying His commands, whether through embezzlement or otherwise. He said: "O you who have believed," reminding them of what they have obligated themselves to in terms of loyalty. "Do not betray Allah," meaning: do not diminish the rights of the Sovereign, the Greatest.
