And when the state of one whose condition is like this is similar to that of the deaf in their lack of hearing due to their lack of benefit from it, and the mute in their lack of speech due to their inability to speak what is beneficial, and the one devoid of reason in their lack of intellect due to their lack of benefit from it, he said, explaining this prohibition, expressing with the most appropriate of things what he described them with: "Indeed, the worst of creatures" meaning: those that tread upon the surface of the earth, He made them of the kind of insects or animals, then He made them the worst of them.

And when they have one who surpasses them, and the lesson is in what is with Him, glorified and exalted is He, He said, the Most High: "With Allah" meaning: the One who has all perfection from encompassing knowledge, power, and others. "The deaf, the mute" meaning: the deaf and dumb, deafness and dumbness being complete. "Those who do not understand" meaning: they do not have renewed intellect, and whoever does not benefit from hearing the caller is like that.
