Commentary
And when he mentioned the intensity, beginning with it because it is more terrifying, he followed it with gentleness and said: ﴿And the ones who are gentle﴾ meaning those who bring forth gently for the souls or for their wings from their places. ﴿With ease﴾ meaning gently, so do not let go, even if it is gentle between the soul and the body, as it is attached, just as something is released from a bond, meaning it is freed from a knot that was [tied -] in the form of a noose. Al-Farra' said that he heard the Arabs say: I have released the bond - if I untied it, and I have tied it - if I tied it with a noose - it has ended. And the term 'nashit' also means: to pull and to extract. It is said: I pulled the bucket with ease - if you extracted it. And Al-Khalil said: 'Nashit' and 'insha'at' is to extend something to yourself until it is released. And these souls are those who are obedient. Likewise, it extracts the plants, the creation, and the growth of everything that is intended to be extracted or activated. So, the one who has determined some of His servants for this, in which there is a distinction of souls from others based on their delicacy and the intensity of their mixture, is capable of distinguishing the body of every living being from the body of another after they have all become dust and mixed with the dust of others.
