Commentary
And when the matter was of such greatness in this regard, he affirmed that what they differed about and asked about is not a place for disagreement and questioning with the tool of deterrence. So he said, threatening them and emphasizing his warning to them: ﴿Kalla﴾, meaning that what they asked about and differed over is not a place of disagreement at all, nor is it correct for doubt to approach it in any way. So they should refrain from that and turn back before the occurrence of what they cannot accept.
And when it was as if it was said: Will what they are in come to an end? He answered with his saying, threatening, omitting the relation of knowledge for the sake of intimidation due to the departure of the soul from every sect: ﴿Sayaalamoona﴾, meaning they will reach a point where their state will be in abandoning obstinacy in the world with all that benefits them and harms them. And this is soon, with a promise that there is no contradiction in it. And at that time, they will have the eye of certainty which cannot be defended after the knowledge of certainty that they opposed. And the greatness of the rank of this deterrence, threat, rebuke, and warning is in his saying:
