Commentary
And when the estimation was: So everything We have made for it a weight, He added to it His saying: ﴿And everything﴾ meaning absolutely of their deeds and others or everything that is subject to accounting (p-208) ﴿We have recorded﴾. And since the recording is in accordance with writing in precision, He affirmed His action with it and said: ﴿A record﴾. So it is not permissible for us to leave anything of the things without recompense. And it is possible to interpret the verse as having ambiguity, which is better: The action of recording indicates the omission of its source, and the affirmation of the source of 'wrote' upon it, meaning We have recorded it with a recording and written it with a writing, and that recording and writing is to prevent injustice.
