And when he mentioned the ceiling, he mentioned the closest earth to him and the most intense of it. He said in a manner of speaking like the capable ones: ﴿And it was moved﴾ meaning it was carried with the easiest matter for movement. ﴿The mountains﴾ regarding what you know of their hardness and difficulty in the air, as if they were scattered dust. And this is what his saying indicates: ﴿So it became﴾ meaning a firm existence ﴿a mirage﴾ meaning we see in it nothing but an illusion that appears while it is moving, passing like the clouds, then it disappears due to the scattering of its parts like dust - how great it is that hearts should be in awe of it and sorrows should magnify.
