And when it was known that they say in mockery: When is it? And its time is something that Allah has reserved knowledge of, for concealing it from everyone causes a greater impact on the souls and is more awe-inspiring in the minds. This led to His saying, mentioning what the minds cannot bear, so that the awe may increase and the fear may grow, expressing with a tool of affirmation: ﴿So when the stars﴾ (p-169) meaning, in their multitude ﴿are extinguished﴾ meaning, their light is taken away with the slightest matter, so they become equal with the rest of the sky.
