And when he compared him in his greatness, he compared him in his color and said: "As if he were a jimalat". This is the plural of jimalah, which is the plural of jamal, like hajarah and hajar for indication, along with its abundance, continuity, mixing, and quick movement. And whoever reads with a damm of the jeem, for him it is the plural of jimalah, which is the thick rope from the ropes of the ship - he compared him to it in his extension and twisting. And there is no contradiction, for the sparks from it are like this and from it are those as previously mentioned. "Sufr" is the plural of asfar for the known color, and it is said: what is meant by it is a blackness that has a yellowish tint, like the colors of camels.
