And when the signs of the Hour reached a limit beyond which there is no more, and He judged against the disbelievers with woe once, and confirmed it three times, it was the right of the addressed to believe, but they did not believe. He commanded what indicates anger, so He, glorified and exalted is He, said, teaching them what will be said to them on the Day of Resurrection when woe befalls them: "Depart!" meaning, O disbelievers, "to what you were," meaning, to what is for you like your nature, "by which you disbelieve," in denial, and you renew that disbelief, remaining upon it.
