And when he threatened those who faced the messengers with denial, as a consolation for them, he comforted those who were cut off from their followers regarding what must be connected to them of good. He said, beginning anew and alerting to the description that necessitates that destruction: "So likewise" meaning like that destruction, "We do to the criminals" meaning all those who do the deeds of those who sever what Allah has commanded to be connected, and they are entrenched in that severing. And that is evidence for us of the ability to gather them for the Day of Judgment, just as we were able to gather them for the time of the crime, and to separate in destruction and salvation between the deniers of the nations and their believers. Therefore, there must be our creation for the Day of Judgment.
