And when it was as if it was said: "Suppose He is a creation like this, then what?" He said, a remedy for the confusion of this question and a clarification of the blessing of guidance: "Indeed, we" means by what we have of greatness, "guided him" means making clear to him for the sake of the test, "the way" means the clear path that there is no path in reality other than it. It is the path of goodness, and whoever deviates from it has gone astray. This is by what He has revealed from the books and sent from the messengers and established from the signs in the souls and the horizons. He has made for him the insight by which he distinguishes between the truthful and the liar, the words of the creation and the words of the Creator, the truth and falsehood, and what is similar to that.

And when man, in the statement, has been divided into two parts, and the context is for the clarification of his greatness by that he is the essence of the universe and the intended purpose of creation, he said, establishing a state from his pronoun in "We guided him," swearing to him, presenting the oath which he completed with the statement of the blessing of guidance by creating faith. This is because that is more appropriate to mention his honor for man, by making him the essence of existence and by His saying: "Indeed, My mercy has preceded My wrath" in the context of the beginning of creation, expressing with the name of the doer free from exaggeration, because no one is able to thank for all the blessings. Al-Bukhari and Muslim narrated from Abu Huraira, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Prophet, blessings and peace be upon him, said: "Every newborn is born on the fitrah, then his parents make him a Jew or a Christian or a Magian." The hadith was narrated by Ahmad ibn Mani' from Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with both of them, and it was narrated by Imam Ahmad from Jabir, may Allah be pleased with him, and its wording is: "Every newborn is born on the fitrah until his tongue expresses either grateful or ungrateful."
