Commentary
And when this is a great evidence of the ability to resurrect, humiliating for them, He said, confirming their denial stubbornly: "Indeed, this" refers to the initial act or the admonitions that we mentioned in this Surah and in all of the Qur'an. "A reminder" means a place of great mention of the ability to resurrect and a significant reminder of what I did in the creation initially, and a great admonition. For indeed, in reviewing it, there are great awakenings for the heedless, and in contemplating it and remembering it, there are numerous benefits for the seekers who listen attentively and present themselves, and their souls are inclined towards what their hearing has conveyed to them. So whoever approaches this engagement knows that we have provided him with the tools and evidence that if he strives with it diligently, he will reach without going astray. And for this reason, His statement from the address of the expansion: "So whoever wills" means to strive to reach Allah, glorified and exalted is He. "He should take" means he should take with his effort from the struggle of his soul and the overcoming of his desires "to his Lord" meaning the One who is gracious to him, whom he should love with all his heart and strive to be close to Him. "A way" means a wide, clear, and easy path through the actions of obedience that He commanded, for we have clarified matters to the utmost clarity and removed all obstacles from their souls regarding whom we willed, and we have instilled that in their natures. There remains no obstacle to their inclination except for our will, and the original fitrah is the most just witness to this.
