And when their abandonment of the heavy day is on the basis of denial, which is the ugliest form of abandonment, and their denial is due to their belief in their inability to do so, he means by saying, indicating the resurrection by beginning from the more obvious: "We created them," by what we have of greatness and not anyone else. "And We strengthened their sinews," meaning we made strong and perfected the binding of their visible and hidden joints with the nerves in a manner of precision after they were a drop of mingled fluids, in the utmost weakness. The origin of the sinews can be tightened by which the saddles are secured or the binding and fastening. There is no doubt that whoever is able to create a person from a drop is capable of resurrecting him as he was, for if his body, which He created, is preserved, then the matter is clear in it. And if it has turned to dust, then bringing it forth from it is like bringing it forth from the drop. Most likely, it will be like his father Adam, blessings and peace be upon him, rather it is more appropriate, for his dust has an origin in life, while the dust of Adam, blessings and peace be upon him, had no origin in life at all. And the resurrection is easier in the course of the habits of creation than the beginning. Therefore, he said, expressing with the tool of verification: "And when We will," meaning by what we have of greatness that we may change what we will of their attributes or their selves. "We replaced them with others like them," meaning after death in creation and the strength of the sinews, "a replacement," or the meaning is: we brought forth others like them in place of them and successors for them. Or it may be intended - which is more restrained - by the person, meaning: we replaced their persons so that they would become after strength into weakness, and after length into shortness, and after whiteness into blackness, and other than that from the attributes as has been observed at certain times in transformation and others. And all of that indicates the completeness of our power and the comprehensiveness of our knowledge.
