Commentary
And when he mentioned the served and the servants, he began to mention the place and said: "And when you see" meaning you direct your gaze. He omitted the object to make it widespread and general. "There" meaning there in any place it may be and any thing it may be. "You see pleasure" meaning there is no impurity in it in any way. And when pleasure may be in a middle state, he said: "and a great kingdom" meaning it has not occurred to anyone what is in it of vastness, abundance, and greatness. The least of them, and in it is the lowly one who looks at his kingdom, a journey of a thousand years, he sees its farthest point as he sees its nearest point, and whatever he desires is there.
