Commentary

And when man is naturally inclined to fluctuate between possible matters, it is related to what predominates over him of the nature of familiarity and the intensity of leaning towards what he is accustomed to with the slightest thing. He expressed what is worthy of realization by suspicion, so he said: "And he suspected," meaning the one who is apprehensive of what has appeared to him from the matters of the Hereafter or the one who says, "Is there any healer?" from his people. "That it" means the great affair which is in it, "the separation," meaning when it contains from the beloved of this world, which is the greatest separation, of which there is no separation like it. In the report, it is said that the servant will struggle with the distress of death and its agonies, and that his joints will greet one another, saying: Peace be upon you, you will part from me and I will part from you until the Day of Resurrection.
