Commentary
And when the suspicion of evil is sufficient for caution against it and for exaggeration in employing what protects from it, he said, indicating that he expressed with the face about the whole: "You suspect" meaning you expect by what you see of the illusions: "that it will be done" he built it for the passive because the feared occurrence of evil is not being from a specific one. "By it" meaning by them, for if the face, which is the noblest of what is in the whole, is struck, then what is besides it is more deserving. "A fatal blow" meaning a calamity that breaks the vertebra, which is the bone of the spine that is the strongest of the bones, so it would be the breaking of the back. Thus, the verse is from the intertwining: mentioning the sight in the first is evidence of its opposite in the second, and mentioning the fatal blow in the second is evidence of its opposite in the first.
