And when his thinking and estimation had caused others to fall into destruction by preventing them from the life of faith, he himself was afflicted by what he prevented from a beneficial life in both abodes. That is the everlasting destruction. And since the harmful thing is indeed destruction, not being from a specific thing, it caused as a result of that the saying of his informing and calling, a response to a supplication that cannot be missed: ﴿So he was killed﴾ meaning he perished, was cursed, and was expelled in this world of his. And since the estimation is the ultimate goal of thinking, and thinking should guide him to the truth, it led him to misguidance. He was astonished by it and said, denying him and expressing with an interrogative tool indicating that it is something he is astonished by and asks about: ﴿How did he estimate﴾ meaning in what manner did his estimation occur? And if he denied the manner due to its invalidity being hardly realized, then the denial of the how is more rightful.
