Commentary

And when he ﷺ negated knowledge from his noble self, he negated that from others in a general manner for all of the unseen. Due to the greatness of his Sender, necks are cut off before it. He said, describing Him: ﴿The Knower of the Unseen﴾, meaning all of it, which has not appeared in the realm of witnessing. So He is exclusively glorified and exalted in His knowledge. [Therefore -] it is the cause of his saying: ﴿He does not disclose﴾, meaning in any way at any time ﴿of His Unseen﴾ [that is -] which He has concealed from others, so He is exclusive to it ﴿to anyone﴾ due to the honor of the knowledge of the unseen and because it is specifically for the King.
