Commentary
And when he informed about his message and its content by what he made known that corruption was prevalent among them, he began his words as a clarification of his compliance: ﴿He said﴾ that is, Noah, peace be upon him: ﴿O my people﴾, he sought to win their affection by reminding them that he is one of them who cares about what concerns them.
And when it is the nature of humans to deny what they do not know, except for whom Allah has protected and made submissive to faith in the unseen, he emphasized his words: ﴿Indeed, I am to you a warner﴾ that is, one who is earnest in warning ﴿clear﴾ that is, my matter is clear in itself to the extent that it has become so evident that it is as if it is a manifestation of what it contains, calling out with that to the near and the far, the perceptive and the dull.
