And when the surrounding does not reach inside it to the surrounding of knowledge and power, He said, indicating the perfection of His power and control, expressing by the making that comes from transformation and causation: "And He made the moon," meaning the one you see, which is in the lower sky. He began with it due to its proximity and the speed of its movement, cutting through all the constellations every month once, and its disappearance in the nights of secrecy, then its appearance. This is more astonishing in power.

And when the sky is transparent, He said: "In them," meaning all the heavens, "is light," meaning a shining light that spreads, revealing what is seen. One aspect of it illuminates the people of the earth, and the second for the people of the heavens. And when its light is derived from the light of the sun, He said: "And He made," magnifying it by repeating the agent, "the sun," meaning in the fourth sky, "a lamp," meaning a great light that reveals the darkness of the night from the face of the earth, while it is in the fourth sky. Ibn Marduyah and Abd al-Razzaq and al-Tabari narrated from Ibn Abbas and Abdullah ibn Amr, may Allah be pleased with them: "Indeed, the sun and the moon have their faces towards the sky, and their backs towards the earth." Al-Hakim narrated from him mentioning the moon and made them, glorified and exalted is He, a sign for the vision of His righteous servants in Paradise, for indeed, He sees everyone from his place, and likewise they see Him, glorified and exalted is He, openly and clearly as they saw Him in the world with faith, looking and reflecting.
