Commentary
And whoever's scales are light, meaning: their scales have tipped. Those are the ones who are distanced. They are the ones who have lost their souls, meaning: which is their capital. So how about what is less than that? For what they did to Our signs, meaning: regarding their greatness, they wrong themselves. This is by continuously renewing what they place in a manner that is not suitable for the actions of one who is in darkness. Al-Hasan said: And it is right for a scale in which good deeds are placed to be heavy, and it is right for a scale in which bad deeds are placed to be light.
